Kylian Mbappe to undergo tests on thigh injury sustained in Champions League win over Atalanta
Kylian Mbappe will undergo tests to determine the extent of a thigh injury after the forward was forced off during the first half of Real Madrid’s Champions League win over Atalanta on Tuesday night. Mbappe, 25, had opened the scoring for the 15-time European Cup winners, taking his all-time Champions League goal tally to 50, becoming the second-youngest player ever to reach the milestone. But the former Paris Saint-Germain forward had to be substituted 25 minutes later after experiencing discomfort in his left thigh. He was able to walk off the pitch before being replaced by Rodrygo.
